Cody McCowan is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. He graduated from Wright State
University with a B.S. in Psychology and his M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
He has six years of experience dedicated to youth and adults with various mental and emotional disorders. His advanced understanding of diagnosis and whole-person care allows him to develop treatment plans for a variety of mental illnesses. He has worked in a community setting and in a school setting to provide outpatient services for people struggling with a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and anger. He has helped people from various backgrounds cope with stressors from life transitions, grief, job stress, relationship issues, and phase of life issues.
Cody uses an eclectic approach that is tailored to the needs of the individual, but at the heart is a belief in the strength and resilience of the people he serves. He believes that therapy is most effective when the whole person is treated– not just the symptoms. He believes that each person is an individual with their own unique needs and experiences, and that each person comes with their own strengths, insight, and abilities they can use to achieve their goals.
